Epithelium-derived kallistatin promotes CD4+ T cell chemotaxis to Th2-type inflammation in chronic rhinosinusitis

Capsule abstract: Kallistatin has been demonstrated to play a task within the pathogenesis of persistent rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps ( CRSwNP ) by selling Th2 irritation. Excessive expression of kallistatin has been related to the prognosis of CRSwNP and the expression of Th2-type inflammatory cytokines. Curiously, we found that kallistatin deficiency alleviates kind 2 irritation within the sinonasal mucosa, particularly blunt the activation of IL-4. Additional investigation revealed that kallistatin could also be related to elevated IL-4 expression, presumably by the Jagged2-Notch1 signaling pathway in CD4+ T cells.
